About us
We are a specialist company providing professional, cost-effective town planning advice to developers, landowners and prospective purchasers of land and property
The Company was formed by Director DONNA SAVAGE in 2007 and operates throughout the UK but is mainly focused in South Birmingham, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and across the West Midlands.
The team at DSP has broad and extensive experience gained over many years working at senior level in Local Authority Planning Departments, PINS and in private practice. Our main areas of expertise are in Development Management, Project Management, Planning Enforcement and Appeals together with Local Plan Representations. We have notable success in gaining planning permissions on difficult Green Belt sites and in rural areas in addition to our strength working in urban areas.
We believe strongly in a team approach and have developed a reliable network of development professionals who we can call upon as necessary to provide advice and support for our clients’ projects. This includes architects, landscape architects, highway engineers, surveyors and legal professionals. At the outset we identify the detailed requirements for each project and assemble a project team to provide the specialist advice needed.
We have also built up good relationships with key Local Planning Authority staff in the area and are happy to negotiate schemes on behalf of our clients. We are aware of the challenges and resourcing issues faced by Local Authorities and can use this to our clients’ advantage. By engaging in pre-application discussions with the local Council and other interested parties we can ensure that the appropriate level of detail is provided on each planning application submitted to help minimise delay in reaching a planning decision.
